The room has towels, hairdryer, toiletries, free tea and coffee in your room and Wifi.
THINGS TO PREPARE:
1) The first activity will be THE PARTNERS PRESENTATION.
We will need you to prepare a brief presentation about your organisation: your activities, your target, the staff who will be involved in Suitcase Circus, your main strength. We would like you to focus specially on the social circus project/s that you are running. Explaining them briefly and highlighting which is the main benefit for the target.
You can prepare a PowerPoint or/and show a short video. But your presentation CANNOT BE longer than 10 minutes (so don’t do too much slides on your PowerPoint and if you want to show a video don’t select a too long one). There will be a projector and a computer.
2) The second activity will be THE INTERCULTURAL NIGHT.
You will need to prepare:
– A brief presentation about your countries, information, curiosities. Feel free to create a sketch or anything creative to present your own countries and cultures. The idea is to enjoy and delight other while showing something interesting about our cultures/countries. If you want to show a PowerPoint please do not exceed 5 slides (after it can be boring). And please do not show official touristic video of your country. By experience, it is always better to make a presentation without video and PowerPoint for the intercultural evening. You will have 10 minutes per country..
– A CD or USB with some music from your country that you like (you can also bring traditional costumes and traditional games if you want to).
– documents about your country/region/organisation,
– a flag
– Some typical food, drinks to taste and share.
Don’t forget that everyone will bring some food and drinks, so don’t bring too much. I advise you to bring what you think you could eat and drink in one meal! Be very careful with what you will bring especially dairy.
3) Twitter:
We would like every participants of this seminar to create a Twitter account (if you don’t have one already!). You will have to use your account during the workshop. It is very easy to create a Twitter account. Please sign up on https://twitter.com/ . You can already follow: @eispossible . We will explain you how to use Twitter during the seminar. You don’t have to use your own name, if you don’t want to and you can delete your account after the seminar. But it is important that you have an account for this activity.
4) Other things to bring:
– a camera (photo/video) if you have one.
– a USB key with the logo of your organisation (in high quality and if possible in vector. If not in JPEG) , a small description of your organisation (Max 100 words!!) in your own language and in English, and some pictures of your activities.
