Kaupo Pilder from Tsirkusestuudio Folie (Estonia) presents a new method he’s learned during his mobility project in Belgium:
A new Method I learned in Belgium is Parkour technics. Parkour is alternative movement style what takes you from point A to point B. Parkour uses a lot of obstacles on the way as a challenges. It has different exercises as acrobatics but they are also so similar. It gives so many different ways to jump over obstacles on the way or climb or go under. It is a really diverse way of moving. I think It really gives another way of moving around. And for Circus and for me as a teacher it gives more possibilities to offer. Different way to teach jumping and how to be safe while doing it. How the body have to be and where to put more weight. It has so many technical things you need to know to be good at it. Now I start using some Parkour as a method of teaching.
